Hi, I'm Marcy 👋

Senior Developer and PMI–PMP® Certified Project Manager with ITIL 4 foundations and over 10 years of experience in IT, specializing in human-centered design, modular architecture, and scalable digital ecosystems. Extensive experience delivering government and military solutions, leading cross-functional teams, and crafting innovative, AI-driven platforms built for real-world complexity.

About Me

I’m a creator, a builder, a fixer, a curious person with too many notebooks, and someone who genuinely loves getting complicated digital things to actually work.

I’ve spent over a decade creating and supporting tools from idea, to inception, until EOL (sometimes, sadly) - for government and military teams, managing projects end-to-end, and figuring out how to bridge the gap between ideas and execution. I care about systems that scale, apps that feel good to use, and making things people don’t need a training session to understand.

Whether I'm writing code, leading delivery, or sketching workflows in a coffee-stained notebook, I’m always thinking about people first — and how to make their experience smoother, smarter, and more real.

What I Believe In

💡 Thoughtful Innovation

Good ideas are only good if they can be implemented. I help bridge the space between spark and system.

⚖️ Ethical Experimentation

I ask: Who benefits? Who’s left out? AI should be inclusive, explainable, and intentional — not just novel.

🤘 Collaborative Energy

I love working with brilliant, chaotic, curious people. You bring the vision — I’ll help make it executable.

Project Delivery That Actually Delivers

I take messy, half-shaped ideas and turn them into structured, scoped, ready-to-build plans. Sometimes that means writing code. Sometimes that means writing 40 sticky notes. Most days it means navigating humans, not just tech.

I’ve worked with military teams, government departments, and public sector orgs where success means balancing legacy systems, security constraints, and real people trying to get real things done. That’s my comfort zone.

I lead small, adaptable teams. I scope what matters. I build workflows that move things forward without turning everything into a ceremony. If there's ambiguity, I make it actionable. If there's conflict, I listen, then translate.

Strategy is great. But delivery is where the trust is built. I care about getting the thing into the world — tested, improved, and used by the people it was made for.

(Also, I will absolutely remind you that “adding a button” is not a 5-minute task.)

Lexi the Cane Corso

Lexi, My 150lb Creative Director

“I only approve projects with cheeseburgers in the budget. And don’t pitch me unless you’ve had a walk.”

Lexi is my Cane Corso and full-time morale officer. She keeps my schedule balanced, protects my workflow, and is always down for a vibe check before a client call.

🍔 Cheeseburger Obsession

Only interested in your idea if it includes lunch. Preferably drive-thru.

👑 Collar Royalty

Wears her signature purple collar like it’s a crown. Because it is.

🐶 Social Strategist

Besties with a smoky grey pitbull named Lola. Together, they run the block.

🏃‍♀️ Goal-Oriented

Believes in chasing squirrels *and* dreams. Often simultaneously.

📏 Larger Than Life

Taller than most toddlers, louder than most Slack threads.

Fun Facts

🎨

I used to manage the floor of a tattoo studio, book clients, and once I had coffee with the world’s most tattooed man. Now I brief military generals and public sector leaders on AI and digital transformation.

👚

I'm obsessed with thrifting and fashion flips. Clothes should reflect who you are and where you're going. Also I firmly believe that every dress deserves pockets, and every outfit should feel like a little bit of rebellion and a little bit of armour.

📊

Currently studying AI ethics, stats (for fun?), and how not to overengineer every personal project. Results vary. I applied for a Masters Degree Program, and was advised that 8 years of College didn't equal a baccalaureate, so I'm kinda of banging out a Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems real quick right now.

🏍️

I ride a 2012 Yamaha Stryker. I’m not flashy, I’m not fast — I just like the feeling of being alone on an open road with my thoughts sorted out behind me. It’s quiet, until it isn’t. No emails. No Slack notifications.

Most productive after touching the ocean. Can’t explain it. Doesn’t want to.
